Family Photography in Rhode Island

The cuddles, the laughter, the little hands holding yours—family photographs help you remember how this season of life feels.

My outdoor family sessions combine gently guided portraits with candid moments, giving you a mix of everyone looking at the camera and the connections that happen in between.

A Relaxed Experience

You don’t need to arrive knowing how to pose. I’ll guide you throughout the session and make room for your children’s personalities, movement, and natural expressions.

We’ll discuss your family, your preferred setting, and the look you love before choosing a location. I can also help with clothing suggestions so you feel comfortable and coordinated.

Booking & Your Photographs

A signed contract and a $100 retainer, applied toward your total, reserve your session date.

Your online proof gallery will be delivered within 1-2 weeks of your session. You’ll choose your favorite images, and I’ll complete the final, detailed edits on the images included in your collection within another 1-2 weeks.

How to prepare for your session

  • Pick a couple of neutral colors and add accent colors to coordinate your outfits. Picking out one outfit from your closet and using it as a guideline for everyone else is an easy place to start.

  • Don't be afraid to mix and match.

  • Solid colors work well, but subtle patterns are welcome too.

  • Avoid clothing with logos & lettering. They tend to age the photos.

  • Layers, scarves, jewelry, and accessories can add depth and detail to your photos. Also, remember to coordinate shoes and socks, since they may appear in your images.

  • Finally, choose outfits with a similar level of dressiness, and make sure everyone feels comfortable moving, sitting, and playing. Coordinating colors work beautifully without everyone needing to wear the same outfit.
