It was such a pleasure to have met this beautiful family of 3! Newborn sessions have a sentimental value to me. The newborn stage goes by quickly so having these moments captured is so precious!

Baby Cora 😍. Mom suggested she brings her wedding dress and take a few images with it. I loved the idea of adding such a personal element into the session. Baby Cora cooperated amazingly so we ended up capturing some images to cherish forever!
Such a smiley baby! Here’s my favorites!

I was so happy to meet this lovely couple back in April. We met here in RI, in one of my favorite spots to capture some photos of the glowing mommy to be. It was a beautiful day!

Hi there!
I had to share some images from baby Alina’s gallery!
I got to meet her a few weeks ago, at 15 days old! We picked some florals, dusty roses and whites for her sets. She is so pretty and so adorable in either headbands or bonnets!
So glad mom chose the family package. I love when parents are included in a newborn session. Priceless memories ❤️
How cute is she in these awake shots when she took a break from sleeping?

Sweet Nora is turning ONE!
A couple of weeks ago, Nora visited me with her parents at my home studio in Lincoln, Rhode Island. I love watching her grow and documenting her milestones from her newborn pictures, to Christmas and now her Cake Smash!
Here’s a few of her portraits with outfit #1.
And a few with outfit and set #2!
Time for some CAKE!
And outfit #3 that matched this set perfectly!
Mom did a GREAT job prepping for this session!
Last but not least and one of my favorites 💗

I haven’t blogged in a while… so I’m back!
Baby Carly was here a few weeks ago. She did so well on her first photo session! Mom gave me absolute creative control and I LOVE how her images turned out 💗
Fall Sessions 2020 ~ Lincoln Rhode Island Family Photographer
www.jennydionphotography.com
And the Fall season in Rhode Island is over…. Christmas will be here before you know it! I love every season, each one has its beauty, but fall is definitely my number one!
Here’s a few of my favorite images captured! Thank you to all the families that trusted me this year, I was so glad to see everyone again and meet some new people as well!
Next up, another favorite family of mine. Mis Brynn was one of my first newborn babies! I’m so honored to capture her every year since the time she was born. Actually, since she was still in her mommy’s belly!
Here’s a tip when photographing little ones. Try tickling them! You might get some genuine smiles! Or….. some genuine tears haha! Well, all went well for this image when we tried it!
The next two sessions took place in late November. Temperatures were cooler but it gave us that wintery look!
And here’s a session after the first snow fall!

My first official set of twins, so they deserve a blog post! These two were born back in May and by the time we were able to do their session, they were already 8 weeks old. Normally at 2 months old a baby session is more suitable, however they were still very sleepy and tiny!
This is my favorite image of them, I love using color in my sets!
Sleepy and cooperative!
And here’s my second favorite image of them. There is actually one bed used here. I took two separate images of the boys on the same bed and then combined them in one. Can you tell?
They loved being next to each other. Such a special bond they already have!

We missed on doing newborn photos for this little girl in the beginning of the lockdown, so we decided to do an outdoor sibling session!
Big brother was very excited to participate!
At least for the first 10 minutes of the session! Ha!
Here’s another before & after example.

This little living doll! Just as cute as her big sister! We captures some smiley faces….
Look at that eye contact ;). We worked hard for that and I’m very pleased with the results!
Here’s some in her christening gown. Her dress was made with fabric from her mommy’s wedding dress. What a wonderful keepsake to have!

One more brand new baby girl from Rhode Island I got to meet. I’ve come to realize that the ideal age for newborn photos is within the 2 week mark. Babies are still sleepy by then, and much easier to pose. This little one slept through her session and we were done within 2 hours.
I love blues with little girls. My hydrangeas had just bloomed, so I had to use them. They didn’t disappoint! Tap right to see for yourself ;)
I provide everything for all newborns sessions. Blankets, wraps, headbands, hats... I have it all! I’m happy to incorporate personal items as well though! The blue & black tutu and headband was bought by grandma. I’m sure she’ll love the picture we got for her!
I’m glad I got to use this new bed prop below. It would be great for sitters too! The outfit is a new one as well, very cute and dainty for little girls.
And here’s a smile and and smirk that will melt your heart!
And finally, a few more from the last set of Hattie’s session!
Contact me if you’re expecting and would like to book a Newborn Session! I’m currently booking late August & September due dates.

Welcome baby Raegan!
Raegan’s parents love nature and the outdoors. I’m sure she’ll be visiting a lot of local places here in Rhode Island. So many to choose from in New England! The theme of her nursery is inspired by our National Parks. I thought creating this image for them would be so fitting!
With that said, we chose to use a lot of greens, yellows and neutrals in her gallery. I’m lucky enough to have a talented mom to knit me all kinds of blankets! Thankfully, I’m fully stocked in every color! Raegan felt very cozy on this yellow one. She also woke up and gave me some cute faces as well! Tap to the right of the photo to see!
Remember those tiny hands and feet….
What a sweet smile 💗
And one with my favorite prop!
A few pink touches! That’s one cute little bear!
I always keep an eye for new props. This is a chair from 1964, that I spray painted. Furniture was so well made back then.
If you like what you see, contact me to check my availability. I only have 2 spots left for the rest of the summer :)
A blog to catch up! Rhode Island Newborn, Child and Family Photographer
www.jennydionphotography.com
Hello, hello!!!
Christmas is over, the New Year has come, and finally things are getting back in order.
Well… kind of, for us! We decided to add a pet to our family and picked up our little Shihpoo on January 2nd! So it’s still a little chaotic! I’m planning on a little puppy photo session soon ;). Stay tuned!
I haven’t blogged in a while, so I decided to pile some of my recent sessions in one. So here it is!
*Family
Weather in Rhode Island can be a little crazy! I mean, last weekend it was summer, today winter is back. Well, we took these photos in the fall right about when the leaves started changing colors. Temperatures were great, with very little bugs around! A few days later, there was a wind storm and the scenery looked a lot different! I love love love candid photos. Harrison is 2, and at that age we mostly get candid ones! And I think that’s great!
*Newborns
Look at this smily little thing! Born on Halloween! Two little ones both under the age of 2! Cheri, you’re an amazing mom! This baby did soooo well on her newborn session! Slept for almost every set up we did. And, we didn’t even use a pacifier :)
Another very smooth newborn session! I say that, because you never know how the baby will behave. Lots of times, there might be a tummy issue. Newborn sessions are booked during the first 3 weeks of life, and there’s a lot of adjusting and learning for both mom and baby during that time! Once you book your newborn session with me, I send you my prep guide, which I’m convinced helps a lot, as far as what to expect, and how to prepare your new baby and yourself!
One tip is to keep the baby unwrapped for a couple of hours before the session. That way the baby won’t fall into a deep sleep. Mostly likely he/she will save that sleep for me! It will be much easier then, to pose their little bodies and place their little hands where I want them to stay ;). That doesn’t mean we don’t want any awake shots! These are adorable as well as you see below!!!!!
Another tip is to give the baby a bath and moisturize his/her skin before the session. We want to maximize our chances of having a relaxed and content baby. Mallory below, was an “older” newborn at 7 weeks old but I think we captured her perfectly!
*Cousins!
These adorable cousins came to me for some Christmas pictures and some Baking ones for their grandparents’ bakery! Central Ave Bakery has some new art for their walls! I wasn’t sure I could make both sets happen the same day, since my space is so tiny, but it we did it, and I love the results!
*Birthday Session
And this princess is 3! Mom did a great job with her dresses and headbands! Charlie is still little so we made sure we scheduled her session at a time when she’s happy. AKA after nap time! I have 3 kids and I know first hand that you don’t want to mess with naps!
I think that’s all! If you like what you see contact me below! I’m booking into the end of February! Still have some openings for Valentine Minis though!
