Newborn Session with Family & Sibling Portraits | Lincoln, RI

Soft blues, simple portraits, and snuggles with the family made such a beautiful gallery 💙

Big sister did so well too!

At this age, I often plan on creating composite images (combining separate photos of baby and sibling into one final portrait) but with her, I didn’t need to. We got a great variety of poses together, and I’m so happy with how they turned out!

It helped to have a separate room where she could take a break, play, or watch a show while we settled her baby brother into his poses. Newborn sessions take time and patience, so giving her space between photos and bringing her back when we were ready worked so well for both little ones.

We also captured some photos with Mom and Dad and all four together! It’s so important to pause and capture these moments because they’re so fleeting. These photos will always bring you back to just how little your baby was in your arms.

For the baby’s part of the session, we used some of my cutest props! Little wooden beds, teddy bears, and hand-knitted blankets, all styled for a cozy feel. I’ve carefully collected these pieces over the years, supporting other moms and their small businesses along the way. I love bringing them together to create something sweet for each little one.

I always love the close-up details, too. Tiny toes, little fingers, sleepy cheeks… there’s so much to remember from these first weeks.
